Project Overview
Location: Purley, Surrey, UK
Installation Date: Underway
Introduction
In the charming town of Purley, Surrey, a residential developer approached us with the goal of meeting their SAP requirement through the installation of sustainable and efficient energy solutions to a 6-apartment multi-dwelling unit (MDU). This installation involves multiple visits as part of phased works to accommodate the clients build programme.
System Details for Each Plot
Solar Panels: Each plot will utilise 6 high-performance JA Solar 385W panels, strategically positioned to maximize sunlight capture and electricity generation.
Inverter: A 2kW Solis inverter will be integrated into each system, efficiently converting the DC electricity generated by the solar panels into usable AC electricity for the MDU.
Mounting System: The Renusol Consol+ ballasted mounting system was consistently used across all plots. This reliable mounting system ensured secure panel installation without the need for roof penetrations, preserving the integrity of the MDU’s roofing structure.
Performance and Benefits
Energy Generation: The installed solar panels on each plot will generate a significant amount of electricity, reducing the MDUs’ reliance on grid-generated power.
Environmental Impact:By harnessing clean and renewable solar energy, the developer has contributed to a greener and more sustainable living environment in Purley, meeting the SAP requirement.
Cost Savings: Residents in the MDUs will experience reduced electricity costs, making these properties more attractive and financially advantageous.
