Requirement

Deeping Fenn Farm had a large chicken shed housing tens of thousands of laying chicks. Fully automated the eggs were automatically collected and packed for sale. The barn has a huge energy requirement for lighting and to run the egg machinery.

Performance

The system is expected to generate 85,000kWh a year, the majority of which will be consumed, saving circa £20,000 a year and generating a ROI of 25% and a payback period of 4-years.

Our Solution

The owner approached Titan Eco to find a suitable solution. After submitting a grid application it was determined that we could install up to 80kW of inverter which we oversized to enable us to install 92kWp of solar PV.
The system, comprising 224 x JA Solar 410w panels and 2 x Solis 3ph 40kW inverters, was installed within 8 working days and livened up in November 2022.\
